When you create an account, we collect your email address, your church or organization name, and a password (stored as a secure hash). We do not collect or store payment card numbers directly.
To personalize your bulletins, we store the details you provide in your branding kit: church name, pastor name, service time, address, phone number, website URL, giving URL, mission statement, and brand colors. This information is stored in our database and used solely to generate your bulletin PDFs.
When you export a bulletin, we process the content of your Google Doc (including sermon title, scripture references, announcements, and other bulletin sections) to generate a PDF. This content is transmitted to our servers, rendered into a PDF, stored temporarily in Amazon S3, and returned to you as a download link. PDF files are automatically deleted after 30 days.
Our Google Docs Add-on reads the content of the document you are currently editing when you initiate a scan or export. We do not read, store, or transmit any other files in your Google Drive. We request only the permissions necessary to operate the add-on:

We collect basic usage data including export counts, template purchases, and feature usage. This data is aggregated and used to improve the service. We do not use third-party analytics tools that track users across websites.
Subscription billing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We store your Stripe customer ID but do not store full payment card details. Stripe’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Bulletin PDFs are stored in Amazon S3 with access restricted to the generating organization. Download links expire after one hour. PDF files are automatically deleted after 30 days.
We retain your account and branding information for as long as your account is active. Export records (metadata such as bulletin title, date, and template used) are retained indefinitely as part of your export history, but the associated PDF files are deleted after 30 days.
If you cancel your subscription and request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days of your request, except where retention is required by law.

Our web dashboard uses browser local storage (not cookies) to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party cookies. No cookie consent banner is required.
Church Bulletin Studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@purposedit.com.
